cpesc test CPESC   Erosion and Sediment Control Exam Review Course & ExamThe Insight team has routine training opportunities and is working diligently to keep our staff compliant with the 2009-0009-DWQ, National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) general permit for developing and implementing Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP).  In keeping with these efforts, Insight is hosting a review course and exam for eligible candidates interested in certification as a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC).

The CPESC Exam review is an intensive one-day (8 hour) course designed for consulting engineers, land and water resource specialists, landscape architects, environmental agency managers, code enforcement officers, and others who have an active interest in erosion control, will provide an overview of the CPESC examination topics, including federal and state rules and regulations, site planning and management, soil loss prediction, runoff control, soil stabilization, and sediment control.

Certification as a CPESC is based upon scholarly preparation, knowledge, and experience. Professionals listed on the registry will:

     (a) Meet the educational and practical experience standards
     (b) Subscribe to the code of ethics
     (c) Qualify for particular identification of special abilities, and
     (d) Pass a qualifying examination.

This course will be administered through JCG Environmental Consulting, Inc., a CPESC certified instructor, and will aid candidates in preparing for the exam.  To register for this class please visit the JCG Consulting website or contact by email.
